Meet Our Founder
Elizabeth has 25 years of strategic communications experience in the UAE. She advises on effective growth, engagement and cultural impact strategies and uses communications as a tool to influence long-term change. Her experience in managing government initiatives, private sector mandates, and agency P&L has helped to grow businesses, deliver commercial outcomes and drive impact.

In describing her inspiration for founding MoneyWorks for Women, Elizabeth says:
I once assumed hard work alone would ensure financial security. Experience proved otherwise, especially for women. I repeatedly observed homemakers undervaluing their contribution, professionals negotiating without leverage, and careers disrupted by financial shock. These patterns underscored how essential financial agency is and how often women lack the tools to exercise it.

MoneyWorks for Women is led by a founding circle of professionals - financial experts, educators, researchers, and women who have navigated the questions our participants face. We are deliberately small, deliberately deep, and considered about who we invite in.
Khaldoun Hajaj
Policy & Institutional Advisor
Twenty-five years across government affairs, public policy and political risk, most recently as Head of Government Affairs for the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan at Standard Chartered Bank. Khaldoun has held senior roles at Dow Chemical and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and earlier in his career led financial services consumer policy at the University of New South Wales - work that mapped access and equity in financial services for disadvantaged communities. He brings a clear-eyed view of how a platform like MoneyWorks fits within the regulatory and institutional landscape.
Alex Malouf
Narrative & Reputation Advisor
Founder of Narrative Shapers and a senior communications leader who has spent two decades building reputation and stakeholder strategy at Procter & Gamble, Schneider Electric, Ceer (Saudi Arabia's first electric vehicle brand), and ROSHN. At P&G, Alex led external engagement on gender parity and diversity across India, the Middle East and Africa, including the company's $100 million commitment to source from women-owned businesses outside North America. He is currently a Board Director of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has previously chaired IMPACT2030 UAE and IABC EMENA.
Pishu Ganglani
Digital & Platform Advisor
A former McKinsey Associate Principal and CFA charterholder with twenty years across financial services, including senior roles at EmiratesNBD, MetLife and Thomson Reuters. Pishu founded NorthLadder, the region's largest auction-driven platform for pre-owned electronics, and most recently led Inhabit's Middle East launch from zero. He brings the rare combination of banking-and-insurance operating depth and the founder's instinct for building digital platforms that actually work.
Zaid Aboobaker
Strategy & Operations Advisor
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a certified Global Management Accountant, with twenty years of experience leading sustainable growth across Europe, India and the Middle East. Zaid has structured debt and equity deals across multiple sectors, built efficiency and transformation programs using ERPs and AI agents, and brings the operational discipline that turns a good idea into a working business.
Binod Shankar
Curriculum & Financial Authority
A Chartered Accountant and CFA charter holder who co-founded Genesis, the leading CFA prep firm in the Middle East and Africa, eventually acquired by Kaplan Inc. Over a decade as lead trainer, Binod taught more than 4,000 CFA candidates, including dozens of UAE nationals. He is a regular voice on Asharq Bloomberg and CNBC Arabia, where he has covered financial markets for eleven years, and is a Level 7 qualified Executive Coach.
Rahul Nagpal
Founding Brand and Integrations Partner
Chairman & CEO of GP Inc., a UAE-based communications group of over 200 practitioners. Rahul has spent three decades building brands across India, the Middle East and the UK, and previously led The Partnership, one of the region's top creative agencies, through its acquisition by WPP. He also serves on the boards of Manzil and Junction. He is the father of two daughters - a fact that, in his words, makes this work personal.
